The Handwritten Collection Shanghai Sheshan Oriental Hotel, formerly the Sofitel Shanghai Sheshan Oriental Hotel, features unique architectural styles, luxurious suites and quality services.
It opened on Jan 20 in the Shanghai Sheshan National Tourist Resort in Shanghai's Songjiang district.
The brand of the Handwritten Collection, a global portfolio of charming bespoke hotels that offer an intimate and stylish hospitality experience, was launched in January by Accor, a world leading hospitality group.
"For the guests, it gives them the impression that they're actually invited by local hoteliers into the charming and stylish rooms, and as a result, they experience a refreshingly human stay thanks to the host's warm welcome and personal touches, as well as intimate and stylish design," said Caroline Bénard, global senior vice-president of economy and midscale brands at Accor, during the brand launch press conference.
The Handwritten Collection hotel in Shanghai has elegant and luxurious Mediterranean architecture, a 4,400 square-meter outdoor swimming pool, a man-made beach, an indoor heated pool, and a health club.
With high-end and comfortable facilities, breathtaking scenery and first-class personalized services, it is a perfect choice for conferences, business parties and vacations.
The luxurious hotel features a fusion of Chinese peace and harmony and French elegance. It has an elegant Tuscan architectural style and offers 368 rooms including 53 luxury suites and seven exclusive villas. The rooms are inspired by Mediterranean, Chinese and Southeast Asian decors, and all have private balconies.
It has over 124,000 sq m of landscaped gardens, and an outdoor beach pool to give guests an unforgettable urban resort experience. The property offers a dedicated service team to set up and manage tea breaks and create bespoke dining experiences for guests. Guests can grab a bite to eat at one of the three restaurants at the hotel, and get massages or body treatments at the spa.
The property is about 30 kilometers from the city center, 23 kilometers from Hongqiao International Airport, 65 kilometers from Pudong International Airport, and only a short 11-minute walk to Sheshan Station.
