The Sheshan Summer Carnival, a major event by the Sheshan National Tourist Resort in Shanghai, was recently held in Wuhu, East China's Anhui province.
The event featured a variety of new products and services from the resort, including a summer nature study and outdoor team building programs, which attracted many local residents.
The resort also promoted its scenic spots and cultural attractions like the Guangfulin Cultural Relics Park, the Chenshan Botanical Garden and the Shanghai Happy Valley through tourism commodities, publicity materials, and product demonstrations.
The Sheshan National Tourist Resort is the only mountain forest area in Shanghai and boasts rich natural and historical resources. It was visited by Xu Xiake, a famous traveler and geographer in ancient China, several times.
Due to the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta region, it now takes less than three hours to travel from Wuhu to Songjiang South Station or Shanghai Hongqiao Station – both are train stations near the resort – by high-speed train.
The resort holds the Sheshan Summer Carnival, which is highly popular among tourists from Shanghai and the surrounding areas, every year from June to August.
