The China International Travel Mart 2023 was held at the Kunming Dianchi International Convention and Exhibition Center in Kunming – capital of Southwest China's Yunnan province – on Nov 17-19.
The three-day fair – organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Civil Aviation Administration of China and Yunnan provincial government – centered on the theme of "Hello, China".
Top national participants included South Africa and Thailand, as well as global organizations like the United Nations World Tourism Organization and the World Tourism Alliance.
The Shanghai Municipal Administration of Culture and Tourism, along with 27 exhibitors from the city, delivered an impressive presentation.
Among them, the Shanghai Sheshan National Tourist Resort, in the city's Songjiang district – the only national tourist resort among the first batch of 12 in a directly administered municipality – proved to be a big hit.

During the event, the Shanghai Sheshan Resort attracted a lot of attention because of its great landscape and wide-ranging activities. Boasting the only land forest resources in Shanghai, it offers a unique experience for visitors.
In addition, Sheshan has established itself as a comprehensive tourism destination, housing 26 core tourism enterprises, six 4A-level tourist attractions and six 5-star hotels.
From the captivating Sheshan National Forest Park and the Chenshan Botanical Garden to the thrilling Shanghai Happy Valley theme park and the refreshing Play Maya water park, each attraction contributes to the resort's rich offering.
