The Tropical Flower and Fruit Area is hosting a vibrant New Year flower exhibition which will run until mid-January. Step into this tropical wonderland designed by skilled gardeners that celebrates the sublime beauty of nature.

Shanghai Happy Valley Magic Lantern Festival

Get ready for the Shanghai Happy Valley Magic Lantern Festival! It's the first nationwide lantern festival themed around dragons, which is set to become the new entertainment landmark in the vibrant city of Shanghai.

The event, inspired by the Chinese zodiac sign of the dragon and the traditional concept of the Five Blessings – which refer to longevity, wealth, health and composure, love of virtue and the desire to die a natural death in old age – promises to light up the New Year until March 31.

InterContinental Shanghai Wonderland

Discover the magic of the InterContinental Shanghai Wonderland, a luxurious hotel nestling mostly below ground in the deep pit of an abandoned quarry in southwestern Shanghai.

Its management proudly presents the Journey to the Hidden Cliff show to celebrate the Year of the Dragon. This enchanting 20-minute fantasy journey uses lights, shadows and lasers that unfold the story in three captivating chapters against the backdrop of the majestic cliffs.
