    On June 10, a screaming contest was hosted by Shanghai Happy Valley, attracting a number of excited young people.Students who had just finished their National College Entrance Examination showed up, amongst others. All the female participators in the contest were far from shy to show-off their screaming skills.

    William (Ned) Friedman, the director of the Arnold Arboretum of Harvard University and professor of organismic and evolutionary biology was invited to the Chenshan Botanical Garden. This was his first visit to Shanghai since he took the post as the director of the Arnold Arboretum in 2011.
